Week in Herndon: Uptick of Larceny From Vehicles

The Herndon Police Department reports in its Aug. 13, 2019, Weekly Press Report that it saw an increase in the number of cases in which unlocked vehicles were entered and items were stolen.

Police reported one incident of larceny from a vehicle in the Worldgate District on Aug. 7 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue. The next day, Aug. 8, police reported four incidents of larceny from vehicles in the Dulles District, the first that morning in the 1400 block of Oak Trail Court, then later that afternoon in the 1100 block of Arctic Quill Road, the 1500 block of Oak Trail Court and the 1300 block of Mistyvale Street. On Aug. 9, police reported two more incidents of larceny from a vehicle occurred, the first at 7:14 a.m. in the 800 block of Mosby Hollow Drive and the other at 9:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Jeff Ryan Drive.
